So, you’ve finally decided that this is the year you will take the wheel of a single-seater car ? If you felt butterflies in your stomach just reading that, it’s normal. First track days are exciting, a little intimidating, but also unforgettable in the best way. Here are a few tips to guide you step by step so you can fully enjoy this unique experience, and leave with that “I can’t believe I just did that” smile.

Learn the Circuit

One week before your experience, we’ll send you the onboard video of the circuit with the car you’ll be driving. Use it like a mini self-coaching session from your sofa.

Look for simple markers: braking zones, turn-in points, corner exits, and any sequences that link together. This gives your brain a head start, so when you roll out for the first session, the track already feels like a place you’ve visited.

Eat Light at Dinner

It’s tempting to eat a lot the night before. Don’t. Choose a dinner that feels simple and supportive, something you know sits well. The goal is getting a steady energy and waking up feeling light.

A great option:

  • grilled chicken or salmon
  • rice or quinoa
  • roasted vegetables + green salad with olive oil
  • yogurt with berries

Vegetarian variant: replace the meat/fish with eggs (omelet or soft-boiled), keeping the rest the same.

Drink water through the evening. Nothing extreme, just enough so that you wake up feeling sharp.

Have a Good Night’s Sleep

Sleep is where you load the software update: focus, patience, clean decision-making.

Try this:

  • set the room around 19°C
  • make it fully dark
  • warm shower
  • 10 minutes of light stretching
  • a few pages of a book
  • phone stays out of the bedroom

Follow the Race-Morning Basics

In the morning, keep the same energy: water first, daylight in the eyes.

For breakfast? Go simple and familiar: a protein base with slow carbs and fiber, plus a piece of fruit. If you’re used to it, coffee or tea to fuel your day. Your driving experience is now waiting for you!

Do a 5-Minute Mobility Check

Before heading to the circuit, give your body a gentle wake-up. Hold each movement for 30 seconds, stay easy, and keep it painless. You’ll feel less tight, breathe better, and arrive at the first briefing already relaxed and ready.

Stay Fueled & Hydrated

Track driving is fun, but it’s also asking a lot of your brain and your body. A few sips between each session and a quick bite to keep your energy smooth and your mind sharp.

That’s why we keep a snack bar pack available all day with fresh or dried fruits, cereal bars, plus water always within reach. Your driver pack includes a fresh refillable bottle that stays with you all day, so hydration becomes the easiest part of your performance plan.

You’re Here to Have Fun, Not to Prove

Racing suit zipped, helmet tight. You’re ready to drive. Before you get in, remember: speed is not the starting point. It’s the result of doing the basics well: pre-driving routine, vision, braking references, steering timing, and smooth throttle.

You’re not here to prove anything. You’re here to learn, safely, with your coach next to you. Ask questions. Take feedback lightly. Enjoy the process and the speed will come, often sooner than you think!
